General

The strings in this Sadowsky Blue Label Bass String Set Stainless Steel Flatwound 40-100 set are flatwound, i.e. the windings are much flatter around the hexagonal core wire and you feel this immediately while playing. The strings are smoother and also produce little or no side noise when your finger slides over them. The sound they produce is duller than roundwound strings, less sharp, almost like a double bass. You can mount these strings on a top loader bridge, but they are not suitable for string through body mounting.
