General

The MLB-4 from ESP LTD is a rugged active bass guitar designed in collaboration with bass guitarist Mike Leon. It has everything you need for a banging performance, whether in the studio or on tour. With a neck formed from 5 parts of wenge and purple heart, it not only gives a beautiful play of colours but is also extremely solid. Add to that a neck joint with no less than six screws and you are assured of a solid neck that can take a beating and is less susceptible to weather. It also comes with a case to protect it when you are out and about.

High-quality parts.

The MLB-4 is equipped with an ABQ-3 3-band active EQ. This allows you to fully shape the sound coming from the Nordstrand Big Splits elements to the sound you are looking for. It is equipped with and Gotoh 404BO-4 bridge and Gotoh tuning machines: a golden duo for pure intonation and smooth tuning. With up to 24 frets and the 35-inch scale, you have a nice long reach and because they are made of stainless steel, they will wear less quickly. The lightweight swamp ash body is finished with a deep black finish after being sandblasted. This makes the grain in the wood visible which gives this bass a unique look.
