Active EMG electronics for a versatile tone
The FreeZesicle-5 is fitted with an active EMG 40P in the neck position and an active EMG 40J at the bridge. This combination delivers a versatile tonal palette with plenty of definition and punch. The active EMG 3-Band B64 EQ offers additional options for fine-tuning your sound. The Master Volume and Master Tone controls put the basic functions right at your fingertips. This makes this signature bass suitable for a wide range of playing styles and modern genres. Whether you’re looking for a full-bodied bass foundation or a bright, distinctive tone, this EMG configuration offers plenty of flexibility.
Designed for comfort and stability
The bolt-on Canadian Rock Maple neck features a comfortable C-profile and an ebony fingerboard with 24 Narrow Jumbo frets. The nut is made from Graph Tech XL Black Tusq and is 45 mm wide. Stable tuning is ensured by the Grover Bass tuners with Vintage Keys. The Schecter Custom bridge supports both top-load and string-thru-body stringing. The bass is strung with Ernie Ball 5-String Super Long strings in gauges .045–.130. A matching SCSGR-UNIV6 case is available separately and is not included.
