General

A simple yet elegant metal machine is how you could describe the Reaper-6 Elite in the Blood Burst finish. The neck-through construction and Schecter USA San Andreas pickups guarantee days of sustain and ultimate tightness. Speaking of tightness; the Hipshot Ibby HM bridge also contributes here, as the strings run directly through the body. With the 12 - 16-inch compound fretboard radius, you have a nice balance between vintage and modern where the strings are fine to push up higher on the neck and the chords are comfortable to play lower on the neck. The ebony fingerboard features 24 X-Jumbo frost-free steel frets. Incidentally, the last frets are excellent to reach due to the slim 'heel' from the neck to the body. The body consists of Khaya African mahogany and this gives the instrument its distinctive warm, defined sound.

Versatile tone monster

The push/pull construction on the volume and tone knobs allows you to switch the two San Andreas humbucker pickups to a single coil configuration. This gives you access to a wide palette of tones, including the coveted S-style sound. The three-way switch lets you switch between the bridge pickup, neck pickup or gives you access to both pickups. Because of the thin 'C' profile, the neck feels 'fast' and is easy to play. To keep the stability of the wenge neck in order, it has carbon-fibre reinforcement. In terms of aesthetics, the Reaper-6 Elite is pretty much up to scratch too; the body, for instance, features a beautiful curved maple top and black binding. The fretboard features so-called 'pearloid lines' inlays, giving the guitar a unique look. Finally, the Hipshot Grip-Lock tuners ensure that the instrument's tuning remains perfectly stable.
