From beefy, rhythmic grooves to more lilting melodies, this versatile five-string bass lays nothing in the way of tone and playability.

The Marcus Miller P5 5-String FL: Resonant and Stable

Made from a single piece of roasted hard maple, the C-profile neck not only adds a vintage touch, but adds enhanced resonance to the already-full sound of the alder body while firming up the overall stability. The fretboard, meanwhile, features fret lines instead of actual frets and comes finished with rounded edges so your fingers can smoothly glide up and down and you can easily hit the right notes.

More Than Solid Hardware

This Marcus Miller model has been outfitted with quality hardware to guarantee optimum tuning stability, sustain and vibrational transference so, as well as a string-through-body MM Vintage-S bridge, you're looking at open-gear tuners and a real bone nut. In terms of electronics, you're treated to unadulterated P-style bass sound courtesy of a Marcus Vintage-Fat Precision Revolution split-coil pickup teamed up with a single volume pot and tone control.
