The Sire Marcus Miller V5R 5-String is a 5-string passive bass guitar with a modern playing experience and that classic J-style look and sounds. The neck, made of roasted maple, offers not only extra stability, but also a pleasant feel while playing. The dark rosewood fingerboard features rounded Edgeless edges, which ensures effortless bass guitar playing without even any sharp edges. This allows you to perform several of your favourite playing techniques with ease without any hindrance. The alder body, together with the other woods, provides a solid sound base with powerful mids and a clear but subtly rounded high.

Marcus Miller V5R 5-String: tighter, punchy tones through that familiar 70's spacing

This solid sound of this Sire 5-string is enhanced by 2 specially designed Formvar single-coil pickups. These Marcus Vintage-J Revolution elements are positioned according to that well-known 70's spacing, with the bridge singlecoil positioned further back for tighter, punchy core tones even on the low B string. This core sound is that same signature sound of bass guitar giant Marcus Miller. Thanks to the simple controls, with 2 volume knobs and a single tone control, you can quickly adjust the V5R 5-String's passive amplified sounds to your personal preference. At the same time, the Marcus Miller Vintage-S bridge and open-gear tuners ensure reliable and stable string tuning.
