The Sire Marcus Miller V7+ A5 Red Sparkle is the flagship model in the V7+ series and was developed in collaboration with Marcus Miller. This 5-string J-model bass guitar combines a classic design with modern innovations and delivers the characteristic Marcus Miller sound. Thanks to its North American alder body, the bass produces a powerful, full-bodied tone with a solid low end, clear mid-range and sparkling highs. This makes it suitable for a wide range of playing techniques, such as fingerstyle, slap and pick playing, and means it is at home in virtually any musical genre.

Modern playability

The hard maple neck with a satin finish offers a comfortable playing experience and features Edgeless™ rolled fretboard edges, making the neck feel instantly familiar. On this Red Sparkle model, the fingerboard is also crafted from hard maple, providing extra attack and a clear, direct response. The natural bone nut promotes tone transmission and tuning stability. The Marcus Miller Modern S bridge features a string-through-body construction that provides greater sustain, tight string tension and precise intonation. Premium open-gear tuning machines and chrome-plated hardware complete the package.

Versatile electronics

The Marcus Super-J Revolution single-coil pickups are designed to combine the warm vintage tone of classic J-bass pickups with modern definition and dynamics. Combined with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp, you have access to an active 3-band EQ with adjustable mid-frequency for extensive tone shaping. The mini-toggle switch allows you to easily switch between active and passive modes, whilst volume, tone control and pickup balance remain available in both modes. This makes the V7+ A5 Red Sparkle suitable for studio recordings, live performances and intensive daily use.
