The Sire Marcus Miller V8 S4 Tobacco Sunburst is a modern J-style bass guitar that combines classic looks with high-quality materials and contemporary performance. The swamp ash body delivers a fast attack, excellent definition and an open, dynamic tone that shines across a wide range of musical styles. Thanks to the roasted hard maple neck and fingerboard with EDGELESS™ rounded fingerboard edges, the bass feels comfortable right from the start. The attractive Tobacco Sunburst finish also gives the instrument a timeless look. As an added bonus, an official Sire gig bag is included for safe transport and storage.

Designed for versatile performance

The V8 is fitted with the Marcus Super-J Revolution Set pickups, featuring authentic ’70s pickup spacing. This produces a clear, defined Jazz Bass tone with plenty of detail and excellent string separation. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp features a 3-band EQ with adjustable mid-frequency and an active/passive switch via a mini-toggle. This allows you to switch effortlessly between a modern active sound and a traditional passive bass response. The combination of high-quality electronics and flexible controls makes this bass suitable for both studio and live use.

As well as its versatile tone, the V8 excels in build quality and playing comfort.
