General

The Yamaha BB434 is an electric bass guitar aimed at those looking to take their playing skills to the next level. This Broad Bass from the 400 series offers true Yamaha quality because all of the knowledge and experience the Japanese brand has built up over the last forty years has gone into its construction. Whether you're playing it on the stage or in the studio, the BB434 will inspire you to get the best out of yourself.

BB434: stable design

The BB434 has a solid alder body and a 5-piece maple and mahogany neck. For optimal stability, the neck is bolted on to the body using six bolts, two of which are mitred. This results in a closer, tighter joint that allows the strings to vibrate over the whole body more efficiently. Overall, this improves both the sustain and resonance so that every note sounds full and lively.

An eye for detail

The body is slightly smaller and lighter than before to ensure the BB434 is comfortable and well-balanced. The machine heads have been on a diet too, so you'll have no problems with neck dive. Another interesting detail is the Vintage Plus Light bridge where the strings are angled at the saddle and pass through to the instrument at an angle of 45 °. This reduces stress and allows a more reliable transfer of the string vibrations to the body.
