Ik had de GHS Bass Boomer shortscale snaren gekocht na een review van een ander.Direkt nadat ik ze op mijn bas (een G&L tribute fallout) had gezet, schrok ik even, omdat ze erg metalig klonken. Maar toen de snaren even goed opgerekt waren en zich blijkbaar wat 'gesetteld' hadden, gingen ze kun werk uitstekend doen en begreep ik het enthousiasme van de reviewer. Er zit een geweldige klank in de snaren, stevig en toch fris.Dus...aanrader!

De GHS Bass Boomers doen wat ze beloven. Diepe klank met een heldere toon. De snaren voelen goed aan en lijken makkelijker bespeelbaar dan de snaren die geleverd waren bij mijn Vox bas.

Even wennen om licht te spelen, want hard aanslaan lijkt zonde van de energie. Daarbij zijn ze toonvast, ik hoef nauwelijks te stemmen tijdens het spelen.

Al met al een prima set voor mijn short scale Vox waarvoor ik lang op zoek ben geweest naar de juiste snaren. Na verschillende beoordelingen door short scale bassisten gekozen voor de GHS en het lijkt een prima keuze. Na de test gewoon een paar reserve setjes aanschaffen.
