General
The Ernie Ball Slinky is a set of six strings for your electric guitar. The wound strings are made of a hexagonal steel core that is wound with nickeled steel. The unwound strings are made of specially hardened tinned carbon steel. Together they deliver a balanced, warm and bright sound and a long life-span. Suitable for many types of music.
Ernie Ball Skinny Top / Heavy Bottom strings
The unwound strings in this set are those of a 010 string set. This allows you to bend strings during solos easily. The wound strings are a great deal thicker, this allows for a much fuller sound when you’re playing chords. They’re also ideal for drop-D and lower tunings, the gauge will ensure that there is enough tension on the strings in these tunings!

The Slinky electric strings are made with the finest and purest materials. All Ernie Ball strings are packed airtight to ensure that they will stay in the same, perfect condition they were in when they were made.

Na jaren op wat dunnere snaren gespeeld te hebben, onlangs de overstap gemaakt naar deze snarenset. Perfecte snaren voor mijn meer "heavy" speelstijl, gericht op stijlen als rock en metal. Zuiver geluid, zowel bij de lagere als hogere tonen. Geweldige kwaliteit zoals altijd van Ernie Ball.

Ideaal voor D en drop C tuning, lager dan dat is niet per se aan te raden (neem dan dikkere setjes om zuiverder te blijven spelen). Snaren van Ernie Ball zijn voor mij dusver altijd het meest betrouwbaar gebleken en zijn al zo'n 10 jaar mijn primaire snaren.
