General
The Dime Guitarz Culprit Dime Slime is based on the original design that Dimebag Darrell himself sketched in 1998. This electric guitar combines the distinctive looks and aggressive tone of the USA Custom Shop model with a more accessible design. Thanks to its glued-in neck construction, a mahogany body with a flamed maple top and a three-piece maple neck, this guitar delivers powerful sustain, plenty of resonance and a comfortable playing experience. The padded gig bag included makes it easy to transport the guitar safely to rehearsals, the studio or the stage.
Authentic Dimebag sound
For its tone, the Culprit relies on a combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan SH-1n ’59 humbucker at the neck. Both passive humbuckers can be split individually via push/pull volume controls for extra versatility. The unique DimeBooster technology provides a boost of up to 15 dB via the push/pull tone control without the need for a 9V battery. Charging is simple via USB-C, so you’re always ready for your next gig without having to replace batteries.
Ready for intensive stage work
In terms of hardware, too, the Culprit is fully geared towards heavy-duty guitar playing. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo ensures excellent tuning stability, even during extreme dive-ins. Grover-style locking tuners further contribute to reliable tuning. The ebony fingerboard with a compound radius of 12 to 16 inches, 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets and the striking Diamond Plate inlays featuring Dime’s Razorblade logo on the twelfth fret complete the package. The guitar comes factory-fitted with D’Addario EXL120 strings (.009–.042).
