Co-founder of the legendary metal outfit, King Diamond, Andy LaRocque has every right to claim his own signature model. This is the ESP LTD ALR-II, which starts with a sough-after Horizon body which has been hewn from mahogany and furnished with quilted maple top before being dipped in a stylish See Thru Purple paint-job. The top of the set-through mahogany neck has been finished with a much-loved teardrop-shaped headstock, which has been colour-matched with the body for added flair. All outlined in white binding, the SP LTD Andy LaRocque ALR-II comes pre-packed inside a form-fit ESP case.

One of the rarer features of the ALR-II is the relatively short 24.75 inch scale-length, which brings the set of twenty-four XJ stainless steel frets closer together and lowers the string tension a touch to result in snug playability and improved control when tapping and bending. The amplified voice of this banger is shaped by a set of Seymour Duncan pickups, where the JB dual-coil at the bridge has been teamed up with a Custom Stack Plus at the neck completing the fiery and sustain-rich, variable output.
