ESP collaborated with deathcore band Whitechapel guitarist Ben Savage to create this instrument so you don't have to worry about whether or not this guitar is fit for clear, fast, raw, wild metal playing. The body of the LTD BS-7 is made of alder, a wood type chosen for its full, balanced resonance, and features a beautiful Flamed Maple top. The neck-through-body construction of this guitar improves sustain and - in combination with the ebony fretboard - attack.

The BS-7's distinctive Dimarzios

At the heart of this smooth-playing 7-string guitar we find a duo of Dimarzio pickups. The bridge pickup is a Crunch Lab 7 that has a grand, full crunch, without ever losing its tight character. At the neck there's a LiquiFire 7 that produces smooth, melodious solo sounds via a heavily over-driven amplifier, as well as clear chords at clean settings. Dream Theatre guitarist John Petrucci is among these pickups' many fans!
