General

It is with great pride that ESP have given life to another member of their Graphic Series: the LTD Master of Puppets. After the Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning models, now it's time for Metallica's third and most legendary album, Master of Puppets, to get a turn. This limited model commemorates the release of the album that made the earth tremble upon its release three decades ago. With just 400 of these limited guitars available world-wide, the ESP LTD Master of Puppets has rightfully earned the collector's item label. It comes complete with an ESP case with Metallica logo and a certificate of authenticity.

Master of Puppets: More is all you need

Besides being a collector's item, the ESP LTD MOP is also a high-quality musical instrument. The alder body is equipped with two active EMG 81 humbuckers; we're talking about some powerful pickups that have become a staple in the world of metal. Playing comfort was also considered, and as such this guitar features a fast ebony fretboard with 24 XJ frets, complete with a mother-of-pearl Metallica logo. Furthermore, you'll find that the TOM bridge has outstanding sustain and excellent tuning stability. Finally, the Kirk Hammett-style reversed headstock makes the LTD MOP complete.

The ESP brand

In 1975, Hisatake Shibuya opened his Electric Sound Products shop in Japan. His high-quality replacement parts soon earned him the reputation he deserved, and it wasn't long before the shop started to turn out its very own guitars under the name ESP. In the 1980s, the brand got a real boost when numerous metal bands, such as Metallica, started to use its guitars. These days, ESP offers a wide range of versatile instruments, from high-grade Custom Shop models to the affordable LTD series.
