The SC-607B Stephen Carpenter signature guitar has a lot of the same great properties as its predecessor. For instance, ESP LTD and the Deftones guitarist have once again descided to go with a maple through-body neck with a rosewood fingerboard and alder wings. This allows for a warm sound with lots of sustain and rich lows, prominent mids and a slight bite in the trebles. To ensure this 7-string solid-body guitar stays in tune, no matter how low you go, the ESP LTD SC-607 Black was designed as a baritone guitar with a 27" scale length.

SC-607B Fluence: string-through and locking tuners

The biggest difference with its predecessor, is that this ESP LTD guitar features two active Fishman Fluence Signature Stephen Carpenter humbuckers. By way of the push/pull volume knob, the SC-607B Black can switch between two different voicings. The first voicing is reminiscent of the original Fluence humbucker sound - tweaked only slightly - making it great for powerful rhythms and smooth solos. The second voicing adds a bit more of an edge to the sound, with plenty of tone and gain tweaks, resulting in a sound that's almost a hi-gain version of the legendary PAF humbuckers. Finally, the Tonepros string-through bridge and locking tuners make sure everything stays in tune properly, no matter how low you go or how hard you play!
