The Fender 2017 Limited Edition American Professional Mahogany Stratocaster tells an inspiring story. While mahogany is a somewhat unusual choice for a Strat, it gives this guitar a rich sound and a warm appearance. Because Fender is dedicated to the preservation of nature, they used a sustainable wood type to make this instrument. After hurricane Mitch wreaked havoc on the Atlantic region in 1998, it left a multitude of destroyed trees in its wake, and Fender re-used those trees to make this limited-edition Strat.
Limited Edition Mahogany Stratocaster: versatile sound
One of the great things about the Fender Strat is that it's always offered a widely versatile sound, and this FSR model is no exception. It features three specially-voiced V-Mod single-coil pickups for a sound that's just dripping with Fender DNA. The neck is a modern Deep-C profile with 22 tall, narrow frets for high playability. Thanks to a satin-gloss finish on the back, you can count on smooth, fast performance. In short, the American Pro Mahogany Stratocaster is a perfect example of how Fender can combine quality and sustainability for an instrument that's sure to inspire!
