This Stratocaster HSS is from Fender's American Pro series that replaces the American Standard series. It's one of their flagship models which features two specially-designed V single-coil pickups in the neck and mid positions and a Shawbucker 1 in the bridge position. All of the pickups were designed by pickup guru Tim Shaw. The V-Mod single-coils deliver the beloved Strat sound with a light bite and a little more output than usual. A fuller, vintage-style sound comes from the Shawbucker 1 that's ideal for music like rock.

American Pro Strat HSS Shawbucker: brightness and comfort

Fender has equipped this Strat with a Treble Bleed circuit that ensures the trebles remain bright even when the volume is turned down. The neck is extremely comfortable to play thanks to its Modern Deep C profile, which lies somewhere between a Modern C and a classic U. This gives it slightly more mass that adds smoothness to the playing experience, as do the 22 narrow-tall frets, which improve the intonation and make string bends easier as well.

Stability, machine heads and case

Excellent tuning stability is assured by the reliable sealed self-lubricating machine heads and the 2-point tremolo bridge that also allows you to easily add vibrato effects to your playing. The bridge has six bent steel saddles that give your sound extra bite. Each guitar or bass in the American Professional series comes with an Elite Molded Hardshell case.
