Fender's American Professional series represents the latest evolution of their beloved instruments and includes this legendary solid-body Stratocaster that has a classic pickup configuration and controls. In terms of hardware, you can rely on its synchronised 2-point tremolo bridge and sealed, self-lubricating machine heads that give it excellent tuning stability. Each model in the American Pro series comes with a robust Elite Molded Hardshell case.

American Pro Stratocaster: Bright, Clear, and High Output

This Fender electric guitar features three new V-Mod single-coil pickups. The pickups have been specially developed for each position with their own unique mix of alnico magnets at their core. That gives this Strat the bright, clear sound it's renowned for along with a higher output. There's also a Treble Bleed Circuit which means you won't lose the sparkling sound when you turn the volume down. Now, that familiar Strat sound will always be with you.

Improved Playing Comfort

While the classic body shape already gives you a comfortable playing experience, this model has other features that enhance the comfort even more. The maple neck, for instance, has a Modern Deep C profile that falls somewhere between a Modern C and a U profile for more natural feel and more mass. Finally, the 22 narrow, tall frets make it easier to push down the strings and improve the intonation too.

Top gitaar. Wat een heerlijke sound! Beter gaat het niet worden wat mij betreft! Het treble bleed circuit doet wat het belooft en qua hals is het de makkelijkst spelende strat die ik in mijn handen heb gehad.. De narrow tall frets zijn ook erg fijn! Minpunten? Niet echt. De e-snaren zitten wel erg dicht aan de rand van het fretboard, dat was even wennen. Locking tuners zouden helemaal perfect zijn geweest maar die kan je er zelf ook op zetten natuurlijk. Ik vind deze gitaar beter klinken dan de elite maar dat is een kwestie van smaak (en een paar honderd euro)... De versie met rosewood fretboard heeft mijn voorkeur boven die van maple maar ook dat is een kwestie van smaak. Heel veel verschil hoor je niet maar het rosewood fretboard voelt wat soepeler aan.

Tja, kan ik nog wat nieuws vertellen...gewoon de kwaliteit wat je van een Fender American kan verwachten. Speelgenot ten top. Wel jammer dat de Fenders nog steeds geleverd worden met standaard 0.09 snaren, waar de gitaar dan ook volledig op is afgesteld. Dus na 0.10 er op gezet te hebben, opnieuw moeten intoneren. De hals blijft wel mooi intact, dus geen afstelling van de hals nodig. Snaren wat hoger gezet (van 1.5mm op 12e fret naar 2mm). Ben zelf geen fan van tremelo's, dus de brug ook 'geblokkeerd' met extra veren. Na deze veranderingen naar mijn smaak en speelstijl (Blues) is deze Fender helemaal maar mijn zin. En wat een geluidje! Oh ja, je kunt de snaren benden zo vaak en hoog je wilt....de Fender heeft een sterke wil en blijft volledig gestemd!!! Kopen!!

De nieuwe V-Mod pickup's klinken modern, helder en zeer gebalanceerd, dankzij de variatie in de magneten van de pickup's.

Zoek je een strat met een "modern" en eigen geluid, dan is dit een prima keuze. Zoek je authentiek geluid, dan zal je een American Vintage misschien beter bevallen.
