He used original single-coils as the basis for his V-Mod pickups. They deliver that well-known punch and vintage vibe while adding more output and bite to the amplified sound. Another notable feature on this model is the treble-bleed circuit built into the volume potentiometer. This ensures that you don't lose any of the treble tones even when the volume is turned down.
