Part of the Modern Collection, the Gibson legend continues with the progressive Les Paul Modern. This LP comes with some serious updates, including a triple-A figured maple top coated in transparent lacquer, putting everything on full display and completing a fresh vibe. Underneath, the weight of the mahogany body has been lightly reduced to improve the comfort level when compared to more traditional LP models and the mahogany neck has been given a Slim Taper profile to speed up playability. The deluxe ebony fretboard, meanwhile, retains a classic 12 inch radius so you're assured of light and nimble note navigation. As you would only expect, this American-made six-string comes complete with a hardshell case.

The neck has been firmly set into the body to lengthen the sustain, boost resonance and, above all, grant smooth access to the highest of the twenty-two frets via the elegantly rounded Modern Contoured Heel. The warm and defined acoustic foundation is amplified with a touch more heat and body than vintage models thanks to a pair of Burstbucker Pro humbuckers which, via the set of push/pull coil-tap volume pots and push/pull pure bypass/phase tone pots, lay out a whole universe of variable tone, from classic humbucker sound to P-90 sound, giving this edition of the LP more depth than ever.
