And, just like every RG that came before it, the body of the RG421EX features accentuated, sharp lines, has been bound to super-flat Wizard III bolt-on neck and brings the full power and tonal versatility of a pair of Quantum humbuckers coupled with a five-way switch.

Built for heavy guitar work, this six-string also boasts the warm and full foundation of a solid mahogany body, while fast and agile playability is fully supported by the flat 15.75 inch radius of the rosewood fretboard and the full set of twenty-four jumbo frets. Since this is the Hardtail edition, the bridge is fixed to guarantee masses of sustain and solid tuning stability - even when you experiment with different tunings. Absoluut een aanrader voor (redelijk) beginnende gitaristen die op zoek zijn naar wat ruigs.

Voor een toch wat meer budget vriendelijke gitaar is dit een aanrader voor mensen die een degelijke Ibanez RG willen. De stock pickups klinken redelijk goed (hoewel ik zelf plan om deze later te vervangen) op de verschillende standen. Het is wel leuk om verschillende sounds te proberen met de 5-way selector switch en geeft toch een interessant geluid.
De body is vrij licht tegenover mijn andere gitaren en zit met de insnijdingen goed strak tegen het lichaam zowel zittend als rechtopstaand. De nek (met het wizard III nekprofiel ) voelt heel comfortabel en natuurlijk in mijn handen. De fretten waren goed afgewerkt zonder scherpe randen.
Kortom als je een goede Ibanez gitaar wilt voor een redelijke prijs is dit een aanrader!
