General

The Spira T-407 MGR is a contemporary 7-string reinterpretation of the classic T-style, built for modern metal and tight low-end riffs. The satin green body is crafted from roasted poplar and is paired with a roasted Canadian maple neck: a solid foundation with a bright, direct attack. The Ebony Tech fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets plays smoothly and quickly, whilst the 26.5-inch scale length provides extra definition for lower tunings and the seventh string.

Powerful, tight and in tune

Under the bonnet, you’ll find an HH configuration featuring custom-made Spira Villain 7-string humbuckers (12k output, ceramic magnets) that remain clear in high-gain settings whilst still delivering punch for tight palm mutes. With a fixed bridge, black hardware and black locking tuners, intonation remains accurate and your tuning stays stable, even when playing hard. The controls are nice and straightforward, with a single volume knob and a single tone control, so you can switch quickly between rhythm and lead playing.
