The Córdoba Abasi Stage 7 Ziricote is not a classical guitar easily pigeonholed. It is a collaboration between Córdoba and Abasi Concepts, with the well-known Stage solidbody concept built on the unique and ergonomic Larada design. That design makes the shape of this guitar stand out: everything that doesn't contribute to playability or tone has been left out, reducing the body to exactly what you need. No unnecessary mass, but a focused body shape that lies optimally against the body, is not too heavy and gives the player maximum freedom. The result is a compact 7-string nylon guitar that combines unique playing comfort and the tonal character of nylon with the flexibility of an electric guitar. The extended scale length also ensures tight intonation over the full range, even in the low register of the Abasi Stage 7

Material with character and playing comfort

The body is designed around combed mahogany, which benefits resonance and low-mid range. On top of this Córdoba is a solid spruce top with a thin veneer of 'exotic' ziricote: good for both sound and its dark brown appearance! The neck profile is a flat C-profile of mahogany, with a rosewood fingerboard, so ideal playing comfort. And the staggered frets ensure not only perfect intonation but also that your fingers fall into position automatically! This ensures that playing chords in the lower positions feels comfortable and melodies higher up the neck are just as easy to play.

No ordinary piezo

The Stage pickup system, jointly developed with Fishman, combines an under-saddle transducer with internal body sensors that also properly pick up vibrations from the wood. That combination gives the Abasi Stage 7 an authentic nylon sound without the harsh, tinny character that other systems can sometimes have. You adjust the sound with the controls located on the side of the body: volume, an EQ and a Body Blend knob that allow you to precisely adjust the ratio between transducer and body sensor. So, live or in the studio, you always keep control of your sound. The included premium gig bag protects your instrument during transport or storage and makes it a very compact alternative to classical guitars.
