General
The Lowden O20-CE Mahogany & Sitka Spruce is the electro-acoustic model for guitarists who want to combine a premium acoustic tone with stage-ready, natural amplification. The large Lowden O-body (jumbo) delivers a broad, powerful projection with plenty of depth and detail, whilst the cutaway provides extra playing space for passages higher up the neck. Thanks to the solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany sides and back, you get an open, direct response with clear definition, warm mids and tightly controlled bass—ideal for both fingerstyle and vigorous strumming, whether at home, in the studio or in a band mix.
L.R. Baggs Session VTC pickup: natural amplification and direct control
What really sets this O20-CE apart is the L.R. Baggs Session VTC pickup system: designed to reproduce the guitar’s acoustic nuances as naturally as possible, with a dynamic response that doesn’t easily become ‘piezo-like’. The on-board controls (Volume and Tone) are discreetly positioned near the soundhole, allowing you to make quick adjustments during performances or recordings without the need for additional equipment. This makes the O20-CE not only an impressive hand-built Lowden for acoustic playing, but also a reliable choice for live performances and recording when you’re looking for a convincing, organic amplified sound.
