General

The Sire Larry Carlton A3GS provides enough definition for finger-pickers, and enough depth and warmth for plectrum-players, while the slimmer waist of the grand auditorium body shape provides a more comfortable and more manageable playing experience than larger models. The lower bout of this acoustic guitar is also more prominent, giving the core sound more presence which is naturally projected by the solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides.

The Larry Carlton A3GS: SIB Two-Pickup System

The A3GS is amplified using the integrated two-pickup system, supported by a Sire Zebra 7 SIB preamp that's been developed for no-fuss use as well as outstanding sound. A blend control pot adjusts the balance between a piëzo pickup mounted under the saddle and a microphone mounted inside the resonance chamber; the EQ Searcher pot shapes and fine-tunes the result, and a volume pot finds the right level. This elegant and thoughtful design is carried through to the included and unmounted faux tortoiseshell scratchplate, so you can mount it only if you actually need it.

Net als de Duitse reviewer hier heb ik het (grotendeels) aangeschaft op basis van de video's van Andertons (Youtube het maar). En daar werd de waarde van deze 2x zo hoog ingeschat.
Het is een hele goede gitaar. Erg fijne hals, goed formaat (ben niet van de Dreads) en zeer goede prijs.

Enige minpuntje is dat het niet gelijk 'plug en enjoyable play' is. Ik heb nieuwe snaren erop moeten zetten.

Köpte den här gitarren på chansning utifrån Andertons video där Mike Dawes spelar igenom deras sortiment och var rent av lyrisk utifrån ljud, prisvärdhet och inställning direkt från fabrik. Personligen är jag väldigt nöjd med både ljud, spelbarhet och hur välbyggt gitarren är utifrån priset. Det negativa är att jag kommer få ställa om gitarren då strängarna skrapar i grovt från 10e bandet och uppåt. Förhoppningsvis är det bara jag som fått ett ex med dålig inställning för gitarren i sig är riktigt bra.
