Great news for fans of orchestra-style steel-strings! Fender have just dropped the upgraded edition of the classic Paramount: the PO-220E. While all of the vintage details are still prominently present, this new all-solid guitar has taken a leap forward in terms of sound and build quality when compared to its popular predecessors. Here, that famed full-range acoustic sound comes with rounded trebles and a satisfying sustain, courtesy of a solid mahogany body and a solid Sitka spruce top supported by redesigned offset X-bracing. Thankfully, Fender throw in a deluxe hard-shell guitar case for free so you can keep the whole thing in good nick.
The PO-220E: Homey Playing Comfort and Fuss-Free Controls
This electro-acoustic Fender orchestra guitar treats your left hand to the playing comfort of a slim-taper C-profile neck coated in satin-gloss lacquer, while the electronics have been souped up in the form of an undersaddle Sonitone piezo pickup combined with a body-sensing pickup of the specially-developed Sonitone Plus Soundhole Pickup System. In practice, that means you're set up with a blend control and a volume pot which are used to tweak the balance between both pickups and dial in the volume.

De Fender PO-220E Orchestra is een mooie compacte gitaar. De gitaar is een kleiner formaatje en heeft een smalle hals waardoor het heel fijn speelt voor mensen met wat kleinere handen. Ondanks het formaat komt er toch een vol en heldere klank uit. De gitaar is mooi afgewerkt, mooie details op de achterkant en voorkant. Ondanks dat de gitaar elektrische-akoestische is, kan je dat niet meteen zien. Het element is mooi weg gewerkt in het klank gat en de aansluiten voor de Jack kabel is verstopt in de straplock. Ik ben zeer tevreden met deze nieuwe gitaar en ik raad m mensen zeker aan!
