The Guild Newark St. Collection F-240E electro-acoustic guitar sets you up with the big, warm acoustic sound of a fair-priced jumbo-size model. Rounded off satisfyingly by the mahogany used for the neck and body, that full-range foundation sound stems from a solid sitka spruce soundboard, which comes supported by scalloped X-bracing for extra bass, more volume and a fast, proper playing response.

The F-240E: Effortlessly Amplified Sound Thanks to a Sonitone GT-1 Preamp from Fishman

For accurate and transparent amplification, this acoustic Guild guitar has been kitted out with a Sonitone GT-1 preamp for the famed Fishman, plus a matching piezo pickup that's been fitted below the compensated bone saddle of the pau ferro bridge. The tone controls are located at the top of the sound hole and allow you to quickly dial in the ideal mix between a darker and a lighter timbre. Other noteworthy features of the F-240E include a solid bone nut, a comfortable 16" radiussed pau ferro fretboard and a charming set of Guild GBB1 Butterbean machine heads.
