As far as ‘budget’ guitars go you cannot, really get much better than Takamine. The GD11MCE-NS Mahogany Electro-Acoustic Guitar (Natural Satin) caught my eye whilst searching through different guitars in the same price range. The Takamine wins hands down on every aspect - build, spec, affordability, finish, tone, playability. This guitar is gorgeous and punches many, many levels above its weight. With a rich tone either plugged in or unplugged it is the only sensible choice in this price range. Treat yourself.

Over deze gitaar zou ik vooral niet te lang nadenken. Voor deze prijsklasse krijg je een gitaar van de hoogste kwaliteit. Ik heb ook nog andere gitaren geprobeerd, waaronder enkele die twee keer zo duur waren, maar deze sprong er uit. Ook na er een tijdje op gespeeld te hebben. Pluspunten: de toon (heel gebalanceerd: heldere en geprononceerde hoge tonen, mooie maar niet te overheersende basstonen), de robuuste en uitzonderlijk goede elektronica/preamp, de goede bespeelbaarheid, hoe lekker de gitaar in de hand ligt en tot slot de hoge algehele bouwkwaliteit (geen enkel foutje of minpunt gevonden). Meer persoonlijk, maar ook relevant: het hout en de kleur zien er goed uit en ik ben fan van de satin finish. Wat je smaak ook is, ik denk dat je hier nooit een miskoop aan kunt hebben.
