Yamaha's CPX600 is the follow-up to the popular CPX500 electro-acoustic guitar. This model has a non-scalloped X-bracing that ensures a strong, rich sound that is clear and well-defined too. The CPX600 is a medium jumbo electro-acoustic guitar that features a conventional round soundhole that focuses the midrange. The back and sides of the CPX600 are made of nato with a spruce top and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. These wood types combine to give this guitar a powerful, rich low-end, smooth, delicate highs, and sweet, open mids making it suitable for different styles of music.

CPX600: medium jumbo with excellent playing comfort

The CPX600's medium jumbo body gives you the playing comfort of the smaller APX model with a louder acoustic sound. It has a scale length of 25 inches which makes it easier to bend notes and play solos because the string tension is slightly lower. The narrower string spacing makes it easier to play chords too. You can count on an excellent amplified sound as well because the CPX600 has been equipped with an SRT piezo pickup and the System65 preamplifier which features a volume control, a 3-band EQ, a Mid FQ control and a built-in tuner.
