General
Whether you want more and less grotesque mids in your distorted sound, the JHS Haunting Mids true bypass overdrive pedal is happy to scare a fresh timbre into your tone. Using the Mix control, you can freely boost or cut the middle frequencies by up to 15 dB, and no - the frequency range is not fixed here but can be stretched either way by turning the Sweep pot. And it doesn't stop there. The Hi/Lo switch fitted to the Haunting Mids lets you toggle through the low-mid or high-mid range, and it shouldn't be too hard to turn your trusty ol' drive pedal into a Screamer with this American-made JHS stompbox either.
