The Gainlab Audio Empress stereo valve equalizer didn't just drop from the sky - this is an up-to-date iteration of the most acclaimed EQ of all time: the Pultec EQP-1a. Just like its hefty inspiration, the Empress applies soft, sloping curves and a quality of valve-coated saturation that you just can get enough of. And since two passive valve EQs are always better than one, the Empress supplies two channels, so it can be set up to treat individual channels or the stereo bus.

Wat een fantastische EQ! De Gainlab Empress is een moderne take op de klassieke Pultec-stijl passive tube EQ, maar met een extra mid-band die hem veel veelzijdiger maakt. De lows zijn dik en warm, de highs airy en silky, en alles klinkt ongelooflijk muzikaal en smooth – geen harshness, puur analoge magie. Met de Tube Boost voeg je precies de juiste hoeveelheid buizen-saturatie toe voor extra gewicht en karakter, perfect op tracks, bussen of de master. Bouwkwaliteit is top!

Standaard op mn masterbus. Zegt al genoeg. Waar ik de Warm Audio EQP voor individuele instrumenten gebruik staat deze standaard op mn masterbus. Ook zonder veel uitsturing is de tube saturatie al de moeite waard.
