General
Finished to a highly professional standard, the Yamaha YEP-642S Euphonium has been designed to produce that definitive brass band sound and performs beautifully as both a solo instrument or as part of an ensemble. The leadpipe has just the right amount of resistance to support extremely low as well as higher pitched notes with clear and warm tone, and this Yamaha model also comes fitted with four valves: three upper valves and one side valve, each of which is compensated to prevent the tuning issues that can occur when multiple valves are played simultaneously. This instrument has been made from brass finished with transparent lacquer and comes complete with a soft case.
