General
Antelope Audio's Goliath HD is an extremely versatile audio interface that measures only 2U high and is chock-full of connection options. With the addition of the HDX port, you can rely on seamless integration with Pro Tools HD systems. It also has HDX Delay Compensation technology that ensures both analogue and digital signals are received with high sample accuracy. As well as Pro Tools HD, you can also use an alternative DAW system at the same time. It also boasts brand-new Accusonic preamps and enhanced ESS chips, which prevent the extreme lows from clipping. What really makes the Goliath HD stand out, however, is its chic carbon-grey housing.
FPGA: more effects and possibilities
Many brands use DSP, but Antelope Audio swears by FPGA. This hardware engine processes your effects in real-time, offering many advantages; most importantly, it relieves your computer system, resulting in zero-latency. Another benefit is that you won't need to invest in external rack modules and effects, as the ones built-in will blow your mind. The platform is continually being expanded upon and the effects and updates are offered to users for free, unlike the DSP platform, which offers plugins at a cost. As well as accurate models of popular vintage compressors and EQs, the FPGA engine also boasts amplifier and cabinet models.
Saving and loading routing and mix sessions
Antelope Audio interfaces are widely known for their intuitive method of signal-routing. The matrix mixer that opens when the software is launched consists of a clear overview of colour codes that show where each input or output signal is going. Assigning signals is as easy as drag-and-drop and you can save your session, mix, or recording and load it again with the used FPGA effect and amp/cab combinations. This saves you a lot of time, and you can also share sessions with other users using the Goliath or other Antelope Audio interfaces. All these features have helped Antelope Audio become one of the most influential pioneers in the pro audio segment today.
