The Orion Studio HD by audio pioneers Antelope Audio is an example of the next generation of audio interfaces. It features superior clocking, conversion and real-time FPGA effects, as well as 12 top-quality preamps with Hi-Z inputs, which is ideal for guitarists and bassists. What's more, this device fully supports Pro Tools with HDX. With an ultra-fast USB 3.0 interface and ADAT, S/PDIF and DB25 connection options, you can be sure the Orion Studio HD is up to any studio challenge!
Real-time hardware effects: FPGA chip
FPGA makes it possible to load in real-time effects from the Orion Studio HD directly. This means there is no latency because the effects are treated as hardware units, unlike plugins. It also means you can make one or more separate headphone mixes with effects without this having a negative effect on your system's processor. The Orion Studio HD relieves your system and takes care of all the processing itself. As well as accurately-modelled compressors and equalizers by BAE, Grove Hill, Gyraf Audio and Lang, you'll also find plenty of guitar amp and cabinet emulations on the Studio HD. On top of all that, you can download the latest updates of these effects free of charge!
Unparalleled conversion and clocking technology
Antelope Audio's claim to fame is their superior clocking and conversion technology, both of which are available on the Orion Studio HD. The dynamic range can be pushed up to 124 dB. The driving force behind this powerhouse is the AFC (Acoustically Focused Clocking) 64-bit processor chip which ensures a stable pulse and sonic detail you won't find on any other Antelope Audio interface. With the Orion Studio HD, you can record, mix and master an entire band in professional audio quality without any other equipment required.
