The Antelope Orion32 is a versatile 32-channel AD/DA converter and USB interface in one. It's a high-end device that also functions as a Master clock and boasts a maximum sample rate of 192 kHz. Use it as a USB interface to record and play 64 analogue line signals (32 in / 32 out) simultaneously with unbelievably low latency. For this, the Orion32 features eight D-sub25 connections on the rear. With the user-friendly software control panel, you can adjust all the functions and routing of this device. The Orion32 is compatible with Mac, PC and iPad.

Orion32: MADI converter

As well as USB connections, the Antelope Orion32 is also equipped with optical MADI connections and the converted signal can be sent to the MADI and USB ports. The Orion32 also supports the ADAT protocol for greater compatibility with a large number of audio devices. To facilitate this, it's equipped with four ADAT ports, good for sixteen inputs and output channels.

Antelope Audio Orion32 AD/DA converter and USB interface

Fantastische converter. Toen ik upgrade van de interne firewire geluidskaart van mijn A&H GSR24M mengtafel naar deze Orion kon ik met recht zeggen dat dit de grootste upgrade in geluidskwaliteit was die ik mijn studio ooit had gekend. En onder die upgrades vallen ook Neve preamps en Neumann microfoons. Betere conversie maakt ALLES beter. Zoveel meer detail in het geluid. Alsof het van 2D naar 3D ging. Het krijgt 4/5 sterren, omdat er nu natuurlijk de 32+ versie uit is met Thunderbolt in plaats van USB. Via USB krijg je nog altijd significante latency waardoor tracking met directe monitoring via de mac geen optie is. Gelukkig is er een flexibele routing waardoor je wel vanaf de converter direct kunt monitoren.
