If you value the ability to record music on location, then the iXR mobile audio interface by Tascam is just what the doctor ordered. It features two combined XLR/jack inputs and outputs, high-quality preamps and a maximum sample rate of 96 kHz, meaning it's ready to make some professional recordings. While the Tascam iXR interface is entirely compatible with your iPad using the included Lightning cable, you can also use it with your OSX or Windows-based systems. Furthermore, the iXR features a durable aluminium housing and is powered through the USB cable when connected to your Mac or PC. Total control and flexibility.

Another interesting feature that the iXR brings to the table, is the ability to use it as a standalone unit—meaning you won't need a computer or tablet. That can come in quite handy when you're rehearsing with your band, for instance, and need to make some quick guide tracks for future reference. Both the headphone output and the regular outputs feature independently adjustable volume levels, so you'll have total control.
