General
If you're an active broadcaster, then this audio interface is sure to be a great tool. With it, you can record your shows in maximum 96 kHz / 24-bit quality. What's more, it lets you edit and enhance your audio later on your Windows, Mac computer, or iOS device. The interface charges as soon as it's connected to your computer via the included USB 2.0 cable. DAWs like Garageband, Sonar, Pro Tools, Cubase or Studio One work extremely well with the US-42, and the PON triggers allow you to work quickly and practically.
Options and Connectivity
The Tascam US-42 has two combined XLR/jack inputs that allow you to use both dynamic as well as condenser microphones, as it also is equipped with + 48V phantom power. If you want, you can add even more mics using the mini jack input. The US-42 also features its own DSP processor that drives a number of handy audio effects. You've got five reverb presets at your disposal (hall/room/live/studio/plate) as well as a compressor and an equalizer to really make the most of your vocals.
