General

It took a while, but we've finally reached the age of 32-bit flat recording, which basically means that anyone can capture and record sound with exacting detail, without having to worry about gain settings and distortion problems. A handheld field recorder built for right-now, the Zoom H2essential Handy Recorder harnesses this cutting-edge tech, meaning that you can take that level of recording quality outside and lay down ambient sound without fear of a passing ambulance ruining the whole thing.

The Zoom H2essential

Three small microphones have been integrated into the design, opening up a range of recording configurations, including 90° and 120°, hypercardioid, mid-side configurations and even more. Another welcome detail is that the H2essential can be used as a high-grade 32-bit float USB microphone during the recording process of the device itself. Meanwhile, the clear, full-colour menu screen displays all of your settings and options, and a built-in speaker accommodates quick recording checks. This model can even read the menu aloud for you, increasing accessibility for the visually impaired. All in all, this is a thoughtful and detailed field recorder that offers users a mass of options alongside future-thinking sound quality.

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

Zoom H2essential Handy Field Recorder
