With the extensive Zoom H6Essential multi-track recorder, up to six audio tracks can be captured simultaneously via 32-bit float technology, removing the need to worry about recording levels. This smart Zoom model manages the recording automatically, making sure that everything retains crystal-clarity and more than enough dynamic range, whether it's capturing extremely quiet or extremely loud passages. Thanks to two outstanding on-board AD converters, the dynamics are also better than ever, reducing noise and clipping issues to an absolute minimum.

Enhanced User-Friendly Controls for the Blind & Partially-sighted

Just the like the H1Essential and H4Essential models, the user-friendliness of the H6Essential recorder for blind and partially-sighted users has been enhanced considerably. Now, as you scroll through the menu, every function is audibly explained, making the sublime audio quality that this recorder is capable of producing available to a far wider audience. The audible explainers are amplified via a built-in speaker, or you can simply plug in a set of headphones, and the language can even be toggled as needed, from English to Spanish, from French to Japanese and even Chinese.

Six Audio Tracks + Impressive 135dB SPL Sound

This recorder features a set of extremely clean preamps, supporting the integrated X/Y microphones with a maximum SPL of 135 decibels - which is equivalent to the sound of a plane taking off. In other words: if you're recording a live gig, the dynamic range will be left fully intact. Side-mounted XLR ports offer the option to hook up your own microphones and, when the pre-fitted X/Y microphones are not in use, they can be simply removed, leaving a tight and practical, 'low profile' recorder.

Record, Stream & Mix

Connect the H6Essential recorder up to a PC, Mac or iOS or Android device and it serves as a 32-bit float audio interface that supports streaming and simultaneous six-track recording to a microSDHC/SDXC card. Micro-SD cards with a maximum capacity of one terabyte are even supported. This recorder can also be used as a pocket-sized mixer. Simply hit the 'Mixer' button and the full-colour screen displays your mixer interface, where each of the six audio channels are laid out so that the levels can be easily tweaked and balanced. In short, the H6Essential offers no end of options.
