Tascam DR-10L Digital Audio Recorder and Lavalier Mic Combo

The Tascam DR-10L is an extremely compact and lightweight digital audio recorder with a lavalier microphone. It's ideal for recording on location and allows you to capture professional-quality audio anywhere without the need for booms, cables, or unreliable wireless systems. With a mini TRS jack and a 1/8-inch screw-down lock connector, the DR-10L is compatible with most lavalier mics by Sennheiser and any other mics with the same connector.

Dual recording function

When recording audio on location, it's not always possible to control the environment, which means you may end up with peaks in sound levels and distortion in your audio. The DR-10L has a Dual Recording feature whereby it captures two audio signals at once (one at a lower level), so that you have a ready-made solution should there be any problem with distortion on the higher level audio signal.

Other handy features

As well as Dual Recording, there a few other handy features that ensure that the quality of the audio captured is as good as it can be. There's an automatic level function, for instance, that increases or decreases the recording level depending on the volume of the sound that is being picked up. There's also a built-in limiter to prevent distortion caused by sudden spikes in volume. The DR-10L is even clever enough to know when the battery is about to run out and will automatically close and save the sound files to ensure the integrity of your data. Weighing just 63 grams including the battery, the DR-10L is very lightweight and can record for up to 10 hours on a single AAA battery.
