Yamaha MP FH Shew S mouthpiece for flugelhorn

Together with Bobby Shew, Yamaha created the MP FH EM S mouthpiece for the flugelhorn. This mouthpiece gives the flugelhorn a silky tone.

Bobby Shew

Shew was born in New Mexico and got his start playing in local clubs while he was in high school. Later on Shew relocated to LA and developed into a talented jazz trumpet player. He went on to record a number of critically acclaimed albums and to win awards including a Grammy nomination for 'Outstanding in his Field' in 1980 and the 1983 Jazz Album of the Year award for 'Heavy Company.' Along with trumpet, Shew also plays the flugelhorn.
