General

Featuring an offset G and a split E mechanism, the Yamaha YFL-212U is a great flute for beginners. It also comes with a curved headjoint that makes it easier to hold the flute comfortably. The exceptional quality of this instrument also lies in the considered design and fast response of the CY headjoint, which features a double flare taper and a unique embouchure hole undercut design.

Beginner-Friendly Footjoint Alignment Marks

The YFL-212 also features Yamaha's special adjustment screws, which allow precise and smooth key adjustment while preventing any screws from loosening on their own, while the pointed keys have been based on traditional European designs, as seen in the A#, F# and other fingerless keys. As a handy final touch for student musicians, the footjoint has been finished with alignment marks.
