General

The Yamaha YFL-272SL student flute features open holes, forcing you to hold the instrument with precise fingering and opening up more alternate fingerings. This model also features an offset G as well as a split E mechanism that makes it easier to pull out the high E. The exceptional quality of this instrument also lies in the considered design and fast response of the CY headjoint, which features a double flare taper and a unique embouchure hole undercut design.

Beginner-Friendly Footjoint Alignment Marks

The exceptional quality of this instrument also lies in the considered design and fast response of the embouchure hole, while the pointed keys have been based on traditional European designs, as seen in the A#, F# and other fingerless keys. The YFL-272SL also features Yamaha's special adjustment screws, which allow precise and smooth key adjustment while preventing any screws from loosening on their own and, as a handy final touch for student musicians, the foot joint has been finished with alignment marks.
