General
Would you like to play an electric-acoustic guitar without having to sacrifice the unique character of the instrument? Then Ibanez has a great deal for you with this limited edition AEG guitar in a tasteful oiled open pore finish. The AEG8EMH is a steel-string guitar with a preamp and a pickup underneath the bridge saddle. As far as playing comfort, sound and volume go, this auditorium-style steel-string will surely surprise you as well. Furthermore, the Ibanez AEG8EMH-OPM features a preamp and a pickup for amplification duties.
Ibanez AEG8E-OPM: construction
Its mahogany top gives the AEG8EMH-OP a beautifully warm sound. Both the sides and back are made of mahogany, giving the instrument impressive sustain and a well-balanced core sound. The mahogany neck's 21-fret rosewood fretboard adds some beautifully sweet overtones. Of course, the finish and hardware are of excellent quality, as you may expect from a renowned brand like Ibanez. For instance, the bridge saddle was modified for optimal intonation, and the sound hole is decorated with an elegant mother-of-pearl-style rosette. Finally, the oiled open-pore finish gives the AEG8EMH a classic appeal.
Amplification and tuning wherever you are
For amplification, Ibanez uses their own Under Saddle pickup and EQ-2T preamplifier. This combination will not alter the natural bright sound of the guitar. However, if the situation calls for it, you can adjust the tone with the built-in 3-band equaliser. Another very practical feature is the built-in tuner, which comes in handy both at home and on stage. No more wondering where you left that spare tuner - you'll have this acoustic steel-string guitar tuned in no time at all. In short, with the Ibanez AEG8EMH-OPM you'll be getting your hands on an excellent guitar that's ready for anything.
