General

The AC3R belongs to the Yamaha A series which boasts a number of beautiful steel-string electro-acoustic guitars. Aside from being attractive, they also feature a unique SRT (Studio Response Technology) pickup and preamplifier system.

About the Yamaha AC3R

This guitar has been developed for the modern, ambitious guitarist. It has a solid top for broad dynamic range and it's made of spruce for a clear, balanced sound. The back and sides of the body are made of solid rosewood which gives the guitar deeper lows and richer highs. The ebony fretboard together with the compact concert-sized body makes for a strong, direct touch.

Semi-acoustic guitar

This steel-string western guitar has a built-in System 63 preamplifier and a special SRT pickup. The pickup picks up the sound directly from each individual string for detailed reproduction of the original acoustic sound. With the preamp you can then adjust the sound to emulate different kinds of microphones as well as the possible distance between those microphones and your guitar. You can also adjust the relationship between the pickup and the mic sound as well as the overall resonance.
