General

The LS16 ARE Brown Sunburst is a tasteful western electro-acoustic guitar by Yamaha. This model has the characteristic slim LS body, making it especially refined. The relatively compact body produces a strong sound and is very well suited for finger-style guitarists. Additionally, the materials used to build this instrument are all high-quality and chosen with care. As such, the top is made of solid Engelmann spruce, a relatively rare type that is light yet known as the "tone wood" amongst guitar builders. The LS16 ARE delivers quality and versatility.

Yamaha LS16 ARE: characteristics

There are many details that make this a true luxury guitar. For starters, you'll notice that the tuners are gold-plated, and there is additionally a tortoise pickguard and an ebony fretboard. The 5-part neck is made of a combination of mahogany and rosewood, and thanks to the Zero Impact contact pickup, this guitar can also be plugged in when you're recording or performing on stage. The pickup is not mounted through the body, but rather consists of small pickups for each string. With this design, you won't see any unsightly hardware on your guitar, and you can control everything from your amplifier when you plug it in. The Yamaha LS16 ARE Brown Sunburst also comes with a gig bag so you can easily take it with you to shows and practices.

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement and improved bracing

Yamaha never stops innovating, not even with something as natural as wood. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, Yamaha has managed to change the molecular makeup of the wood itself to match that of vintage guitars in their prime. This means that the Engelmann spruce top of the LS16 ARE comes out of the box with a rich, open sound you'd normally have to wait years to get. Furthermore, the body is equipped with improved bracing, developed to boost the low responses without drowning out the trebles. With all of this technology and craftsmanship, this guitar is an excellent instrument overall, with a great combination of design, vision and experience.
