This impressive Sela Chau Gong 28" Mantra is a handcrafted instrument from China. Thanks to its special bronze alloy and 70-centimetre diameter, this gong produces a warm, sustained tone with deep fundamental frequencies and a rich spectrum of overtones. On the dark, matt surface, you’ll find beautifully engraved concentric rings featuring the Tibetan Buddhist ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’ mantra. This exquisite design not only creates shimmering bronze accents but also influences the resonance. Weighing 7.8 kilos, the instrument responds extremely subtly to various playing techniques and your dynamics. This makes it particularly suitable for meditative, therapeutic and musical purposes. Supplied complete with a black carrying case and a maple mallet with a velvet head.
