Sixty years ago, Jimi Hendrix and Marshall Amplification together gave rock 'n' roll a new direction. In honour of that collaboration, this anniversary edition was developed: a handwired set consisting of the 1959JMH top, a matching 1960AHW speaker cabinet and a special Dunlop Fuzz Face. The set breathes the atmosphere of Hendrix's era, with a psychedelic control panel, purple knobs and a subtle purple LED. The recognisable 'eye' badge refers to his visual style, while the finish and component selection are in keeping with the classic Marshall approach.

Authentic tube box

Under the hood, it's all about a 100-watt tube amplifier with two linkable channels and the familiar controls for volume, treble, middle, bass and presence. Four inputs with high- and low-sensitivity give flexibility in gain structure, while the EL34 output stage and ECC83 preamp tubes provide the familiar character Marshall is known for. The speaker outputs are adjustable for different impedances, so the set fits well into a variety of configurations. Together with the included Fuzz Face, it creates a sound that directly references Hendrix's playing, without being tied to one specific application.
