General

We can't guarantee you'll be able to play like Steve Vai right away, but this co-designed DiMarzio DP158F Evolution Neck pickup certainly won't disappoint. Originally designed for Steve's signature Ibanez Jem guitars, this humbucker neck pickup also comes into its own in Les Paul-style guitars. This humbucker has many unique overtones, which makes this pickup both dynamic and complex - definitely not easy for the beginning guitarist. The pickup has quite a lot of focus on the low end and is sensitive in it as well, and the output is fairly high. The treble also gets a lot of focus, which will soon allow you to claim your place as a guitarist within the music. The difference between the neck and bridge pickup is that the bridge pickup is a bit tighter, more aggressive and louder. This is an F-spaced pickup, which means it is suitable for guitars with a Floyd Rose and similar tremolo bridges.
